A lot of things are changing, and it can be scary. But Jesus’s love for you isn’t one of them. And this allows you to step into this next season fearlessly and confidently, because you are tethered to the unchanging love of your savior.
It doesn’t matter what your future looks like, whether you’re 18 and going to college, 25 and graduating college, or 45 and having kids who are graduating, you should never be afraid of the next chapter. Because you know the author. And you know the ending.
If you’re a Christian, it doesn’t mean you’re a Conservative. It means you’re a Radical.
“God, thank you for bringing me so far. You know how much I want to be an author. But–”
And these were some of the hardest words I’ve ever prayed–
“But, if it’s not your will for me to be an author, don’t let me be one.”
You’d think God wouldn’t pay much attention to a small youth group on the edge of a country town, full of middle schoolers.
But not so;)
I’m learning: even if I cause the greatest disappointment, God won’t stop loving me. I’m learning mistakes show how much I need Christ, not how much I need to fix. And I’m learning that Christ already fixed it for me.
