A Good Report

I will choose to report on God’s faithfulness, not his apparent yet none-existent shortcomings.
I want to be like Caleb and Joshua, who brought back a good report of Canaan and believed their God would remain faithful to his promises.

“Rooted”

“While the devil is prevailing, His roots are unfailing. So root yourselves in Christ as you head into 2021, and humble yourselves before the God who prevails regardless of the circumstances.” ~ From a youth group lesson I’ve been working on:-)

In These Unknowns

We are children of God. God knows we can’t have everything figured out. God knows we get scared sometimes. God knows we are utterly helpless without him. So lean into that identity, the identity of a child, and let your life be guided by childlike trust, humility, wonder, and joy.

This is My Confidence

When life feels strange; when the holidays look different this year and you’ve never missed your annoying cousins so much; when you just want to hug your grandma but you can’t, be confident that God’s love RULES this.

The World is Watching

If you supported Trump, this week is hard. Saturday was hard. Each day that goes by without justice is hard. But remember: your reaction to this hardship is what everyone is watching. And since everyone is already paying attention, show them Jesus.

I’m Not Ready

This is quite the adventure. I don’t feel qualified, honestly.
But I do know that Jesus is enough when I am not. So here’s to stepping into deeper waters and pursuing Christ in the unknown–in this crazy new life as an author.

Seeing God in a Monday

I challenge you: this Monday, look for God. Look for his blessings in the mundane. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Seek for God even when it is difficult. And I promise, God will be there, even on Mondays.
