God’s Love Doesn’t Make Sense

God’s love doesn’t make sense. Here’s why.

(Also, if you like Newsboys, you’ll probably also like this one;-)

Two Kinds of Freedom

This weekend, we celebrate freedom. But I think America’s definition of freedom is quite different from Jesus’s definition. And I think we need to pay attention to the difference.

What it Means to be a Woman of God

The world has lost sight of what it means to be a woman.

But there’s something beautiful and poetic about being crafted from a rib that speaks volumes about what it means to be a woman of God.

Sitting With Jesus

At camp, I started realizing Jesus sits across from me while I pray, stands beside me while I worship Him, and speaks to me in so many ways.

And after that, I couldn’t seem to get rid of Jesus.

What I Learned From Never Making Varsity

I used to be embarrassed to admit I’ve been on JV all four years of high school.

But now I see what God’s plan was from the beginning. And I’m confident now: God makes beautiful things, even out of us.

Working for the Eternal Reward

Matthew 25:23 says, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

I want to live for the eternal reward like that. I want to reach heaven and hear my Father, best friend, lover, king, and God say well done.

Tethered

A lot of things are changing, and it can be scary. But Jesus’s love for you isn’t one of them. And this allows you to step into this next season fearlessly and confidently, because you are tethered to the unchanging love of your savior.

The Next Step

It doesn’t matter what your future looks like, whether you’re 18 and going to college, 25 and graduating college, or 45 and having kids who are graduating, you should never be afraid of the next chapter. Because you know the author. And you know the ending.

The Only Reason I’m Published

“God, thank you for bringing me so far. You know how much I want to be an author. But–”

And these were some of the hardest words I’ve ever prayed–

“But, if it’s not your will for me to be an author, don’t let me be one.”

How God is Working in my Youth Group

You’d think God wouldn’t pay much attention to a small youth group on the edge of a country town, full of middle schoolers.

But not so;)
